2019: 150 PR INTERNSHIPS AND GRADUATE SCHEMES

Coverage Book

We’re so excited that CoverageBook has come on board to sponsor the 2019 list of PR internships and graduate schemes. Check out their great, easy to use tool for collating coverage and spare your interns the pain.

How was this list compiled? We used the PR Week’s top 150 agencies 2018 list as a starting point and contacted all 150 companies via email and social media to give them the opportunity to submit info on their entry-level schemes. Those agencies that didn’t confirm their information are listed as ‘UNCONFIRMED’, but we’ve had a dig around on their websites and social media to give you some idea of what they have available. In some cases it’s not been possible to work out whether they pay their interns so approach with caution. The good news is that the vast majority of PR agencies did respond so there are some very detailed listings of entry-level opportunities.

The entries are listed in the same order that PR Week used – they are not ranked by quality of internship/grad scheme.

There are three entry-level schemes which are not listed in the PR Week top 150 as they’re not run by agencies, but they’re important to mention as they’re all aimed at BAME students and graduates to improve access to the industry for more diverse groups, so check those out too:

Taylor Bennett Foundation
Government Communication Service
TFL

You should read How to get a job in PR before you apply for anything. It covers CVs and covering letters, and the differences between work experience and internships so those chapters are particularly helpful.

All internships and graduate schemes listed were correct on date of publication, 8th January 2019. Details may change as the year goes on (and we don’t update this list once published) so keep an eye on our jobs page for other entry-level opportunities.
